Jungle Fever

If you like Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain - then keep reading...

On Friday night we attended a Launch Party in a trendy place in Notting hill.

It was an exhibition combining art and music with the work of an exotic sartist Lynnie Zulu. There was a Dj, disco ball and piña coladas - all we needed to get the party started!

S: I thought long and hard whether I wanted to make a statement or dress quite casual. For a change I decided to go all out and knew exactly what I was going to wear to fit in! I decided on my polka dot shirt (ASOS) it's the new big must have! I knew my new bright pink jeans (GAP) would go perfectly but it took a lot of courage to actually put these two items together. I know I would have to look and feel very confident! I paired these with my usual booties (ASOS) very easy to walk in as I knew we would be standing the whole night. I held back on any form of jewellery as I knew that would just be OTT! I finished the look by putting my hair in a simple bun and very natural make up (Neutral eye shadow with a darker brown for definition, black eye liner and just some nude lip gloss)! Over all I was happy with my look and felt ready for a social night out!

W: I wanted to fit in with the theme of the party so no doubt some bright colours were needed! I decided on a neon green silky tank top (h&m) with my bright blue jeans (gap). Usually I don't wear much bright colour but this was the perfect excuse to put my colour blocking skills to the test! To ground the look I paired the bright ensemble with black wedge booties (Zara) and my black snakeskin cross body bag (fendi). My makeup was simple: a slick of black gel liner (bobbi brown) and some bright pink lipstick (Chanel). Both of our outfits were quite a statement but among the vivid art and lively atmosphere we fitted in just fine!
