America on a Plate

The Diner just opened up on the Gloucester Road. It's already well known in areas like Camden, Shoreditch and Soho, so we had no excuse not to try a location so local to us.

As you walk in you feel as if your in a classic American diner; burgundy leather booths, vivid lights and quirky staff all add to the vibe.

We must say the choice's were crazy, from Hot-dogs to Chilli con Carne and an All Day Breakfast menu, deciding what to order was a challenge. After about 10 mins of studying the dense menu we ordered.

We decided to play it safe and each got Cheese Burgers. What makes it so unique is that you can pick toppings to really customize your burger; We decided on guacamole and caramelised onions.

We got a side of Cheesey Fries, Macaroni Cheese and Hash browns.

Our table was full!
S: This is with the caramelised onions.... TASTY!

The burgers were full of flavour, the sides were crispy/cheesy, together they hit just the spot! Although we must admit that we over-ordered, neither of us could finish the burgers *sigh*. All the more reason to go again!

The Deserts looked incredible too but unfortunately with no space left, we opted to share a Snickers Milkshake, which was a blend of caramel, nutella, peanut butter and maple syrup - delicious!

We are already planning our next trip back to try the all day breakfast, we have the feeling they would be great after a big night out! Price-wise our meal came to £15 a head and we had plenty! So its cheap and cheerful.

If you live locally you must try it, but make sure to bring your appetites with you!

P.s. What we wore (bearing in mind the typical rainy London weather..)

S: I felt I wanted to get in the spirt of summer, so decided on my green/blue loose shirt, my trusty navy jeans (gap) with my green studded slip on (topshop) with  our Black fur lined parka style coat from Paris.

W: I wore my Brandy and Melville dress layered under a navy Cashmere jumper for extra warmth. My Armarni boots from Venise (very rain appropriate!) and our Black fur lined parka style coat from Paris.

We later enjoyed a long walk through the streets of London. We had a great evening and this is a must!
