Ingredients
Serves: 9
- 250g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 170g unsalted butter, melted
- 200g dark brown soft sugar
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 325g chocolate chips
- Fudge chunks
Firstly, I preheated the oven to 170 C. I then grabbed a medium sized bowl and while the butter was melting, I put the brown sugar and caster sugar into the bowl. When the butter was completely clear I also added this to my bowl of sugar and mixed together until it as completely blended.
I then put my egg and egg yolk into a separate bowl and beat them until they were light and creamy. After that was done I added the eggs to the main bowl and again I stirred until thoroughly mixed. I then put the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into mixing bowl and continued mixing.
I then added all the extra little bits I wanted to add in, the chocolate and fudge chunks! Then laid 9 equal dollops on the baking tray! I loaded them into the oven and waited 16 minutes!
After 16 long minutes passed, I took them out, waited a few minutes, then put them onto a wire rack until they had completely cooled down.
They were soft, chewy and full of flavour. These are a must for a movie night, or a girlies night in!
