Taste of Mexico

After a long day running errands, Iona and I ended up at westfield and decided it was time to sit down and relax. I wanted to try something different and we found this place called Wahaca

We ordered a refreshment to start: Passion fruit & Hibiscus Cooler Served tall on ice with bubbles. 

After a long time of decision making we decided on the Grilled British steak taco, Chipotle chicken Quesadillas, Chicken guajillo Tostadas, Sweet potato and Green rice.

Sadly this didn't agree with my taste buds, but Iona happily finished the dish.

Green Rice

The rice was honestly to die for. I would say you need 1 per person - that is if you are feeling greedy. If you like coriander this is definitely for you!

Chipotle chicken Chicken cooked in a spicy tomato marinade 

 I also really enjoyed this plate, if you like chicken, and mild spice this is perfect.

Sweet Potato

Chicken guajillo
Chunks of chicken marinated in a chipotle dressing layered with crunchy salad mix, avocado cream, salsa fresca and our smoky guajillo oil. 

This was my favourite plate, it was sos crunchy and so tasty. I will definitely be having this again.

Finally to finish off, we ended on some good old Churros y chocolate 
Our favourite! Mexican doughnuts with a rich chocolate sauce.
